Why I chose this Artwork
When I saw Alison Watt’s art of folding cloth for the first time, I felt like it is nothing like a portrait. But when I try to come back to see the work again, it makes me feel that it's not just folded fabric, Each cloth's mark represents the movement of people or moving emotions. When I look at Alison watt's work, it makes me feel that these fabrics are like people's emotions expressed by the movement of the fabric, intangible emotions. The shape is not stable and there is no apparent movement, but we can feel it. For example, fabrics have a lot of knots or wrinkles that make them feel anxious and stressed. intangible emotions. The creases or lines of the fabric and the idea of creating these images is also her passion.

She views these fabrics as human beings as they have movement, Some her artwork, she said it looked like a model human body, for example, shoulder, muscle, scar, finger, etc., and with a passion for fabrics and curtains she focused on tucking and folding clothes. The visual arrangement of her beautifully curled and folded folds that she made her stomach at one point. The light and shadow in the work make the picture stand out and get the mood. Her technique of smooth shading & blending is very masterful, combined with her use of oil paints to create works that look like real fabrics, you can see this in most of her work. I'm going to use arranging the fabric and arranging the fabric corners so that the image is directed in one direction. I think she had the idea of seeing this cloth as a movement of something similar to mine. Her work is more than just a realistic painting, and this is why I chose her work.
why paint folded cloth?
When the fabric is folded, It becomes complex and has a lot of texture. Each complexity of the fabric conveys an emotion or weight. It Varies according to the creases, and the fabric will add a sense of detail according to the fabric type.
Is there a specific type of fabric you want to use for your artwork?
I want to use curtains and sheets because curtains are unique fabrics and have their own marks, and sheets are fabrics that everyone uses in their daily lives, but people may overlook their beauty.

Photographs and Edit

At first, when taking pictures, I felt that it was not successful. There is no mood in the picture, even the folds of the fabric look messy and shadows from unwanted objects, so it doesn't get the image I wanted. I began to study the works of artists working guidelines, then I started experimenting again. It came out better in terms of fabric marks, but still has the matter of light that I was not satisfied with. It shows that the light helps to convey the mood or change the mood of the picture. When I started shooting half as much until I started learning to arrange to light and add more angles until I started to get the desired image.
When comparing my work to the artist, I feel that the fabric handling is not as emotional as the artist's, and the artist's lighting and shadowing make the image look very powerful. I was dissatisfied with the way my fabrics were made to convey emotion, which is the part that I should improve on. If I focus on Lighting corners or using lightroom and photoshop it will make my work better.
CLIENTS
Strategic Collaborations
Using Lightroom, I edited the exposure, brilliance, highlights, shadows, contrast, and brightness to create the best result. The photo has a quite dark tone to clearly see the texture and movement of the fabrics and the beautiful structure. This will give the image a 3D effect, and the spectrum of brightness also gives it a three-dimensional look. I darkened the image because black gives a gloomy mood, and it makes it feel more immersed in the feeling. The light part has a positive mood, making the image look more emotionally moving. Deciding to choose an image, I considered the creases of the fabric that represent the movement of the mood, whether the mood is light or heavy. The second part is the light and shadow. The shadows show whether the mood is good or bad.

Drawing

This pattern is cotton fabric that is arranged and crushed in one direction to give the drawing movement. Cotton is soft and not stiff, making it easy to feel sensitive. This painting gives a confusing feeling because there is a depressed feeling or a negative feeling on the top and a good feeling on the bottom and these two feelings converge in the middle, creating a feeling that confused I've learned that we don't need to blend every time. Because every time we blur, it can fade and not get the feeling of sadness or depression that we want. The fabric at the top has a negative feeling because it has dark tones and straight lines that indicate clarity and solidity, while the fabric at the bottom or light fabric has a positive feeling because of it. White feels comfortable and looks safe, and the curved fabric has straight wavy wood-like above. This makes it feel more stretchy and relaxed than straight fabrics.

This drawing is a polyester cloth in which the middle of the cloth is tied because fabric polyester is a soft and shiny fabric it gives a feeling of movement effectively. this drawing will give a feeling of relaxing from the pressure because the middle of the fabric polyester that is tied will give a feeling pressure and that area will be dark for performing to a negative feeling and around the center is a fabric have lights intervene between the shadows it feels as though the mood is in motion, and the light shadowing area is a feeling of relaxation that is replacing pressure.

I chose the pencil technique of smooth shading by blending because I can create soft feelings and shades of shadow to create the 3D shape with it for example shadow intensity gradation. It helps the image dimension and weight. And shadow gradation gives an image more emotional depth than just white and black. For example, the darker the shadows, the duller and sadder. Or shadows that are so soft that they are almost white will give a feeling of tiredness and discomfort. Black and white represent positive and negative. I wanted my fabric to represent an emotional of human, movement and human strength or weakness through the fabric.

This drawing is Bedsheets that one side is wrinkled and not beautiful and the other side is folded beautifully come to help cover the unattractive side. Bedsheets have Wrinkle It means feeling stressed or nervous. And bedsheets have folded beautifully it means feeling happy and stronger overall this drawing means when people feel stressed or nervous people tend to smile and say that they are fine but inside they are full of stress and nervousness.
Mami Kosemura
During my research, I found artwork by Mami Kosemura. it's the image that uses fabric to cover things on the table. She describes whether the scene in the play or the fictional story Taking a video or photo is revealing the truth. Her artwork is placed so that the unpredictable reality can be seen with astonishment. If reality is vague within That ambiguity can hide what's important. it makes me have ideas that will create artwork to make a feeling emotion, pain and the story or important things are hidden from the vagueness that is not clear.

Photoshoot 2

At first, when taking pictures, It turned out to be incomplete as required because the position of the cloth covering the objects is not beautiful. It swells and doesn't look like the shape of that object. it makes pictures look sloppy and don't have highlights of the pictures. Then I start studying the method to use fabric to cover objects. one method is using wet cloths to cover objects, it shows clearly the texture of the object, but it does not have as many details of the fabric as I want. another method uses tendon tie around cloths and objects. Using this technique, it makes we can see the detail of clothes and object clearly. After using this technique, the work come out as desired.

Photoshoot 3

During this shoot, I got the idea to cover the furniture because during the long weekend I moved to another dormitory and felt that the mattress or other things felt strange and uncomfortable. After that, I put the sheets to cover the bed. Instead, he felt more at ease and dared to open his mind to try that thing because at first, he hadn't even put a veil on it. We don't dare to choose or try because we don't like it or are not confident. But when taking the cloak back, we dare to try and open up more. I learned a lot from photography and techniques. I encountered a problem with covering large furniture, it would be very difficult to make marks on the fabric because the size of the large size made the fabric stuck until the mark was not visible. So I went to study and research from the artist. I learned the technique of using binding or sewing to create various marks.
Editing
I edited the exposure, brilliance, highlights, shadows, contrast, and brightness to low. The photograph will focus on showing the highlights of the subject and the cloth covering it. The photograph will focus on showing the highlights of the object and the cloth covering it. Converting images to black and white creates a clearer dimension of emotion than having a variety of colors because black and white processing allows us to interpret emotions in two ways: negative emotions and positive emotions. Darkening the background of the image and making the subject and fabric light. With a black background, the objects in the picture stand out so that the details of the subjects make the picture feel more complex from the details of the fabric. When deciding on the image, I chose from the objects used for interpretation. and the detailed pattern of the fabric that represents the mood or story of the object.

Drawing

This painting is a military shoe cover. I use military boots because soldiers are the ones who sacrificed their lives to protect the country and many people might see soldiers as strong all the time. But when wrapped in a cloth, you might be able to see the soldier's feelings. Covered cloth is like ignoring things that indicate or judge what a person is. The cloth that covers the shoes makes it difficult to know what to cover. but guess from the shape of the fabric that it is a boot Maybe it's Nike shoes. Gucci shoes Normal boots, or something else you may know? I don't know what boot it is?
The creases of the fabric define the personality and potential of a shoe. The creases of the fabric on the front are the lines that are rounded, neat, neat, indicating honesty. The hidden creases of the fabric are various folds. that crept into the middle of the cloth Indicates determination and patience and dark black fabric marks indicate. The sorrow of leaving family and missing loved ones but can't get enough.

The drawing is the lamp covered by the fabric. Most people always like to judge anything from the outside before looking at their potential or effectiveness. the drawing means when you don't see the appearance of the lamp that the lamp is beautiful or broken but it can be efficient to use, maybe you want it because it works fine but if judge the lamp from the appearance that the lamp is dirty or broken. You wouldn't choose it without looking at its performance. the wrinkle of fabric from under is various insults that came to judge. the wrinkle topside is a performance that is stable even though will get various insults.

This drawing is the bed covered by the fabric. when you must go to living another place or a new place, you must use the new stuff and sleep new bed maybe you feel uncomfortable or uneasy. Using the fabric to cover the bed helps reduce the feeling that uncomfortable or nervous and makes you want to sleep more because maybe the bed is from Thailand, China, the UK, or from other places as you want. you don't see the detail of the new bed and you can imagine that is your bed that bed make sleep well.
